Mission Statement We, the Kokoro Studios group, aim to produce and release, for free, a true sequel to the popular Chrono Trigger RPG. This will be a direct sequel with all original content; no official artwork nor resource will be reused. We intend on giving the fans of the original game something they've been craving for since its release in 1995. Chrono Cross attempted to fill the void, however it did not satisfy a large percentage of the fans. We are not associated with Square Enix in any way, shape or form. We have not been sanctioned by any party relating to Square Enix or Nintendo. Thank you for your understanding. This game will be released free to the public as a test platform for Chris Chiu's developing HazardEngine, an experimental general-purpose engine designed to fit any genre of gaming ranging from mechs to first-person shooters to RPGs. Each member of the team work on the project on our free time purely for enjoyment. Platform The engine is designed with multiplatform support in mind; it can and will run on platforms including but not limited to x86, x86-64, PowerPC, ARM, MIPS, Alpha and Apple Macintosh through the use of general libraries and cross-compilers. A majority of the code is written in C++ for easy portability. However, the code will not be open. If you are interested in contributing to the project, please check out the news updates for any possible openings. Thank you very much for visiting this website! Frequently Asked Questions Q: Will the HazardEngine be open source? A: No. HazardEngine is our in-house proprietary engine and will be used only for works by Kokoro Studios, and those authorized by its creator, Chris Chiu. Q: Why is this project taking so long?! A: This is done on our free time and most of us are quite busy with school and/or work. Of course, we're trying the best we can! :) Q: When will it come out? QA: When it's done!
